King is beautiful, mellow Arabian gelding who comes to GSH due to loss of interest of his owners. He and his friend Paison (GSH0220, now named Mason) lived down the road from a boarding barn and would get out and come visit. Eventually the owner said no one at their place had interest in them and turned them over to the boarding barn, who contacted us to see if we could take them in. King is reported to be broke to ride but hasn't been ridden in several years. He so far has been easy to handle and lead, and loaded into the trailer well.
We were able to evaluate him on 2/6/2016, and he was a dream! He accepted everything we threw at him. He tied, stood for grooming, picked up his feet, and even had a trim. In the round pen he did everything he was asked on cue, was easily tacked up, accepted a rider no problem and was ridden walk/trot in the snow. It may have been 6 years since he's been ridden but you wouldn't know it. It won't take much to get him back in shape and ready for a summer of riding for just about anyone!
