25 year old Quarter Horse Mare

Cheyenne is a sweet senior girl, about 14.1-14.2 hands tall, who obviously knows a lot. She's looking for a retirement home. She's well trained and would likely do well in a family with kids (or for your grandkids when they visit). She does have very poor teeth and will require supplemental senior feed, though she can eat hay and grass and enjoys it.

14 year old Quarter Horse Mare

Fiona - who GSH Tiffany has taken to calling Fifi because it suits her more - is a lovely girl. Quiet, and more of a brown red, she's easy to overlook which is a shame because she's one of the friendliest and most easy going of all the Kingsbury mares. Because she's friendly and pretty easy to handle, she's a high priority for training and should find a home soon. She is halter broke but has not yet been evaluated with a saddle yet. Tess
14 year old Quarter Horse Mare

Tess is a horse that catches your eye in pasture, especially as she sheds out. She's a big, beautiful bay Quarter Horse mare originally from the Kingsbury county seizure. She can sometimes be a little tough to catch but other days is in your pocket.She leads, ties, and round pens well. She has accepted a saddle but we have not had time to evaluate her riding as of yet.

Tess's registered name is likely Crystal Leo Maudie. HYPP N/N.

Walter
13 year old Quarter Horse Gelding

Walter is a quiet boy, usually hanging with Albert and off by themselves. He came to us from the Kingsbury seizure, near death and a stallion. He's come a long way and is ready to start training and find his home! Walter ties and has been seen several times by the farrier.

Knight
15 year old Miniature Horse Gelding

Knight is a very handsome miniature horse who is cautious and learning to trust. He likes to learn and is looking for someone to help him find a purpose. He is not a kid's pony at this time.

Rue
13 year old Quarter Horse Mare

Rue came to GSH as part of a large seizure from Kingsbury County, South Dakota. Rue is a sweet girl with long legs. She is curious but skeptical sometimes about people so can be a challenge to catch. Once caught she leads well, stands for grooming and is currently working on picking up her feet and standing for the farrier.

Joey
10 year old Quarter Horse Mustang Gelding

Joey was previously adopted and has had saddle training, but returned to GSH due to some bucking. After evaluation, it was found that Joey had a sore back and was allowed a year off to heal. Saddle fit with Joey is extremely important as he is very reactive to ill fitting saddles. Since returning to GSH main, Joey has been evaluated on the ground and shown very good ground manners. He has also accepted a saddle but is still weary of someone getting on his back. Joey will need a patient experienced rider and/or trainer to get him to trust riders again. Joey is a sensitive boy who just needs someone to understand him and love him. Will you be it?

Kassie
12 year old Quarter Horse Mare

Kassie is a big, beautiful, kind mare who has big movement in pasture. She leads well and is relatively easy to handle. She has been a broodmare most of her life, so can still be slow to catch, but once caught is willing and eager to learn. She will excel with training and needs someone who wants to teach her to be a fabulous partner.

13 year old Quarter Horse Mare

Reba came to GSH as part of a large seizure of horses from Kingsbury County, South Dakota. Reba is a very intelligent thinking mare who will need a partner who is willing to work with her, not tell her what to do. She is very strong and stocky and is an average keeper weight wise. Registered name Conclusive Poco Girl.

Xena
15 year old Quarter Horse Mare

Xena is a strong, opinionated, independent mare. A notorious easy keeper it's hard to understand how she was so thin on intake. Content to hang out in pasture now, she's looking for a patient trainer to help her become a great partner.

10 year old Quarter Horse Gelding

Albert is truly one of a kind. He's quiet, kind, easy to be around and nice to look at. Even before he was gelded you'd never have known he was a stallion. But just because he's kind and quiet, don't think he's not brave and going to be a great partner. He will be - just get to know him and see where you can go!

June
12 year old Quarter Horse Mare

June came to GSH as part of a large seizure of horses from Kingsbury County, South Dakota. June is an intelligent, stocky mare with good confirmation. While she is still learning to trust humans, she would make an excellent horse for the person who has the time to bond and work with her.

Elsa
13 year old Quarter Horse Mare

Elsa is a tall, lanky, gorgeous girl. She tends to run a bit lean and needs extra grain, but sure is stunning! Though very independent and somewhat difficult to catch, she has good manners and doesn't have a mean bone in her body. The right person is going to bring out an amazing horse.

Harper
13 year old Quarter Horse Mare

Harper came to GSH as part of a large seizure of horses from Kingsbury County, South Dakota. Harper is the least trusting of all the Kingsbury mares. She is intelligent but extremely cautious about people. Currently Harper is working on touch and getting a breakaway halter on so that we can work on trust. While it may take some work to get through to this mare, in the end you would have a sweet, strong and solid relationship.
