Our Home for the Holidays Adoption Event is about more than finding homes; it’s about creating lifelong connections. It’s about opening your heart and barn to a horse who might have just one winter left or a lifetime of companionship ahead. These are the horses who need someone extraordinary—someone willing to provide the care they deserve and the love they’ve been waiting for.

Some of these horses have spent their lives giving everything they had. They may be older or have a condition like arthritis that makes riding no longer possible. They ask only for a soft place to land, a safe pasture to rest in, and someone who will see the beauty in their presence. Their care is simple—perhaps some supplements, regular trims, and a warm hug on a chilly morning—but their impact is immeasurable.

Others may never have had the chance to truly connect with people. These are the quiet, standoffish souls who linger at the edge of the pasture, watching from afar. They may never nicker at the sound of your voice or melt into your arms—but their story is no less valuable, and their heart no less deserving. 🎄 11th Annual Home for the Holidays
Adoption Event Instructions 🎄

This special adoption event runs from December 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025. Here’s how to participate and give a horse a loving home:

Submit an Adoption Application:
- Fill out an adoption application and complete the pre-approval process.
Schedule a Visit:
- Once approved, set an appointment to meet the horses and find your perfect match.
Name Your Adoption Fee:
- During this event, adopters can choose their own adoption fee.
- Adopters will have a 30-day trial period after adoption. If, during this time, the horse is returned, the adoption fee will be refunded. After 30 days, the adoption fee becomes non-refundable.
Understand the Terms:
- Horses adopted during this event are not eligible for the rehoming policy.
- If you cannot keep your adopted horse for any reason, you must agree to return them to Gentle Spirit Horses Rescue.
Pickup Deadline:
- Adopted horses must be picked up by February 15, 2025. After this date, the adoption fee will return to the standard rate.
