Welcome back to GSH, Eddie!

 

This beautiful 12-yr-old gelding has returned to the shelter today from an adoption. This lovely boy first joined us in 2019 through the Kingsbury county neglect seizure, and at that time was a stallion - with plenty of sass and attitude! Once healthy, gelded, and ready for a home he was adopted to a great family who have adored him and invested in training. Unfortunately, he is green with some quirks, and simply not a suitable trail horse for his adopters, so he has been returned. They took fabulous care of him and we're happy to have him back!

 

This photo is from when he was in their care. He was known as Sonny in his adoptive home, which is part of his registered name, but we called him Eddie and have another Sonny, so will be reverting to his previous name.

Eddie will decompress for the rest of the week and we will do his intake evaluation and photos this weekend. He will be looking for a new home OR participating in next year's Dakota Showdown Horse Trainer Challenge, whichever comes first!
