We have a HUGE month for vetting at Gentle Spirit Horses Rescue this June!

First up is 9-month-old Winnie.
This lovely young filly is a very recent intake from auction, and was likely born with contracted tendons that weren't treated. Her left front knuckles over but her x-rays and initial exam were clean enough to allow us to try to fix it. Her case was reviewed by Nebraska Equine who also agreed it was worth trying - and they recently successfully treated a pony that was worse than her. We are so excited to give her a chance but need your support!
Winnie's surgery is scheduled for June 18, 2024 at Nebraska Equine. She will remain at the hospital for several days and require several weeks of stall rest and follow up visits. Initial surgery is estimated to be $1400-1600, transport is about $300, and we want to raise a little more to cover follow up medications and costs.
Then there is Saylor.

Saylor is a 1-2 year old colt who is ready to be gelded! He is scheduled for his surgery on June 19, 2024, at Cedar County vet. He's gone from unhandled and terrified to sweet and easy to handle, so we're happy to get his gelding done so he can find a home. We estimate his surgery, transport, and follow up care will run approximately $500.
