Stanley loves attention and is easy to be around. He stands for grooming, ties, leads, loads, is good for farrier and accepts fly spray, blankets, etc. Now that he's up to weight we've started riding and he's very willing and knows a lot. We've had everyone from advanced beginners to trainers ride him and he's very responsive. He does prefer some leg and seat cues and isn't a huge fan of contact, but he does respond to direct reining and beginner riding cues. He's also sweet and good for lead line and would love to be a spoiled "Grandkids" horse.
Stanley stands approximately 15.2 hands and does get extra feed to maintain his weight. He prefers the finer things in life and adores being in a stall, but would be fine in a paddock with shelter as long as he's able to be supplemented with a senior feed/high fat diet.
