GSH was contacted by one of our local instructors and supporters about two beautiful thoroughbred mares in Vermont that needed to be rehomed ASAP or the owner was considering euthanasia. They were described as two young off-the-track thoroughbreds with a lot of potential but the owner needed to downsize. Even though they were far away, GSH did what we could to help. They were taken in by Bee Silver Equine Rescue originally, as a foster. They were unable to keep them long, and as we were arranging shipping to Iowa for the girls, Haven For Horses Maine stepped up and offered to take them in. GSH transferred ownership to them to allow them to place them under their contract. Dziki has found her new home already, while her friend Dresser is still waiting.
