This little guy is Mato (pronounced Mah-toe, means "bear" in Lakota). He came from a young man on the Lower Brule Reservation along with Ina, Tahni, Gleska, and Chikala. He was adopted out as a long yearling, has been gelded and nicely started under saddle. He's a lovely boy with a couple more years of growing expected, has been ridden walk/trot/canter but we consider him green due to age and lack of experience, and is kind, easy to catch, loads nicely, leads, and is good for grooming. He is a little confused when it comes to lunging but is learning quickly. All in all, this is a very nice boy!
