GSH0202 Patty Sue
Patty Sue was an owner surrender, and was caught between a dispute over boarding fees. She had been run through a barbed wire fence and badly hurt, but was only receiving the basics of care due to the dispute. We were able to take her in and get her in to the vet immediately. Today her wound (warning - graphic pictures towards the end) has healed up beautifully. She was half blind on intake and appeared to be rapidly losing her vision in her other eye, and now at 6 years old has gone completely blind. Unfortunately she didn't have much handling as a youngster and before she went blind, so though she is well behaved she is slow to trust, can be hard to catch, and is finding it tough to trust enough to be a riding horse. She is available for adoption as a Pasture Pals placement to a home who is understanding and willing to take their time with her and recognize she may always be a pet and not a ridable horse. If interested, contact us to start the conversation about her needs.
